In today's uncertain economic environment, you need more than one stream of income to secure your financial future. And while the company you work for and our government may make certain financial promises today, those guarantees may not be there tomorrow. But, if you rely upon yourself, you can improve your current situation and increase the likelihood of a more comfortable retirement.

Nobody understands this better than author Bill Kraft. During his decade-long journey through the markets, he's achieved significant success and assisted countless traders and investors in doing the same. Now, with The Smart Investor's Money Machine, he highlights over a dozen proven investment strategies that will allow you to create and manage additional streams of income-no matter where you are in life or what your financial experience may be.

Divided into two comprehensive parts, this reliable resource opens by addressing the importance of developing a "money machine" trading plan that's consistent with your financial goals, resources, and risk profile—as well as your time constraints. Part I puts these important concepts in perspective and discusses many other essential aspects of building a money machine that's right for you.

After this informative introduction, you'll become familiar with the best ways to power your money machine in Part II. Here, Kraft explores a number of specific money machine strategies and vehicles-from dividend capture, writing covered calls, and selling naked puts to Master Limited Partnerships, LEAPS, REITs, annuities, and even reverse mortgages. He examines where the risks lie, what potential rewards each offers, and then details precise ways to use these strategies. Through the help of hypothetical characters-each of whom are dealing with different circum-stances-Kraft illustrates what it takes to successfully implement the money machine approach and highlights how you can adjust it to fit your investment endeavors. And, if you become interested in being a more active trader, the final chapter of the book contains important keys to excel in this arena.

Countless strategies, systems, and methods are sold to the investing public with an implied promise of infallibility. But the truth is that there is no holy grail to instant riches. Building wealth takes patience and persistence, but most of all, it takes more than one stream of income. With The Smart Investor's Money Machine as your guide, you'll discover how to make this proven approach work for you and achieve better long-term financial returns in the process.

The Asian life insurance industry is truly entering an inflection point. Coming off massive growth from the past several years, the industry has suffered greatly, along with the rest of the financial industry, in the 2008 financial crisis. Most life insurers across Asia have lost tremendous value in the wake of the crisis; a few are in significant distress. It is important not to lose sight of the longer-term outlook though: fueled by macroeconomic factors such as the emergence of the middle class, high savings rates, and the growing need to save and invest for retirement, Asia's life insurance market is expected to grow at double the rate of the US and European market over the next decade. The time now is ripe for insurers to establish regional partnerships to access these markets. This authoritative book analyses the life insurance landscape in Asia, including traditional life insurance, bancassurance, etc. It comprehensively overviews the Asian insurance industry, based on extensive research provided by the authors on business opportunities and key success factors. This is an accessible yet authoritative guide to a key market opportunity.

Existing credit risk assessment methods have put too much of an emphasis on past loan performance and historical market conditions and not enough on borrower capacity, new mortgage product risk characteristics, and economic cycles. According to industry practitioners Clark Abrahams and Mingyuan Zhang, the housing market bubble boom and burst and the subsequent financial crisis could have been prevented had these underwriting gaps been properly addressed.

Credit Risk Assessment: The New Lending System for Borrowers, Lenders, and Investors equips you with an effective comprehensive credit assessment framework (CCAF) that can provide early warning of risk, thanks to its forward-looking analyses that do not rely on the premise that the past determines the future. Revealing how an existing credit underwriting system can be extended to embrace all relevant factors and business contexts in order to accurately classify credit risk and drive all transactions in a transparent manner, Credit Risk Assessment clearly lays out the facts.

Why is it so hard to beat the market? How can you avoid getting caught in bubbles and crashes? You will find the answers in Carl Futia’s new book, The Art of Contrarian Trading. This book will teach you Futia’s novel method of contrarian trading from the ground up.

In 16 chapters filled with facts and many historical examples Futia explains the principles and practice of contrarian trading. Discover the Edge which separates winning speculators from the losers. Find out how to apply the No Free Lunch principle to identify profitable trading methods. Learn about the wisdom and the follies of investment crowds – and how crowds are formed by information cascades that drive stock prices too high or too low relative to fair value. Discover the power of your Media Diary - and how to use it to spot these information cascades, measure the strength of the crowd’s beliefs, and decide when the crowd’s view is about to be proven wrong.

You will watch Futia apply these principles of contrarian trading to navigate safely and profitably through the last 26 tumultuous years of roller coaster swings in the U.S. stock market – a time during which Futia kept his own media diary and developed his Grand Strategy of Contrarian Trading. See how this Grand Strategy worked during the Great Bull Market of 1982-2000. Watch the Contrarian Rebalancing technique in practice during the dot.com crash of 2000-2002. Find out when the Aggressive Contrarian Trader bought and sold during the bull market of 2002-2007. Read about the causes of the Panic of 2008 and ups and downs of contrarian trading during that dangerous time.

Futia shows you how the market turning points during the 1982-2008 period were foreshadowed by magazine covers and newspaper headlines that astonishingly and consistently encouraged investors to do the wrong thing at the wrong time. By monitoring crowd beliefs revealed by news media headlines – and with the guidance provided by the many historical examples Futia provides – a trader or investor will be well-equipped to anticipate and profit from market turning points.

This book focuses on managing return and risk in modern financial institutions. The central theme is that the risks faced by managers and the methods and markets through which these risks are managed are becoming increasingly similar, whether an institution is chartered as a commercial bank, a savings bank, an investment bank, or an insurance company. Although the traditional nature of each sector's product activity is analysed, a greater emphasis is placed on new areas of activities such as asset security, off-balance-sheet banking and international banking. --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

In the constantly evolving world of finance, a solid technical foundation is an essential tool for success. Due to the fast-paced nature of this world, however, no one has been able to take the time to properly codify the lifeblood of the corporate financier’s work—namely, valuation. Rosenbaum and Pearl have responded to this need by writing the book that they wish had existed when they were trying to break into Wall Street.

Investment Banking: Valuation, Leveraged Buyouts, and Mergers & Acquisitions is a highly accessible and authoritative book that focuses on the primary valuation methodologies currently used on Wall Street—comparable companies, precedent transactions, DCF, and LBO analysis. These methodologies are used to determine valuation for public and private companies within the context of M&A transactions, LBOs, IPOs, restructurings, and investment decisions. Using a step-by-step how-to approach for each methodology, the authors build a chronological knowledge base and define key terms, financial concepts, and processes throughout the book. They also provide a comprehensive overview of the fundamentals of LBOs and an organized M&A sale process.

In the aftermath of the subprime mortgage crisis and ensuing credit crunch, the world of finance is returning to the fundamentals of valuation and critical due diligence. This involves the use of more realistic assumptions governing approach to risk as well as a wide range of value drivers. While valuation has always involved a great deal of “art” in addition to time-tested “science,” the artistry is perpetually evolving in accordance with market developments and conditions. In this sense, this book is particularly topical—in addition to detailing the technical fundamentals behind valuation, the authors infuse practical judgment skills and perspective to help guide the science.

The Practical Guide to Wall Street is an indispensable resource for anyone who aspires to a front-office sales or trading position on Wall Street and an essential desk reference for market practitioners and those who interact with this exciting but widely misunderstood industry. Written by an experienced trader in a clear, conversational style and assuming no previous background in finance, The Practical Guide to Wall Street provides a thorough schooling in the core curriculum of the equity and equity derivatives sales and trading business - exactly what you would learn from sitting beside the traders at a tier-one Wall Street investment bank (except that in practice, traders rarely have time to provide such detailed explanations!) Topics covered include:

* Clear, detailed and intuitive explanations of all major products, their function, pricing and risks (several of which are unavailable anywhere else despite producing billions of dollars in annual revenue for Wall St.)
* The layout of the trading floor, the roles and responsibilities of the different sales and trading groups and how they interact to service the client business
* An overview of the structure of the macro-economy and the trader’s perspective on the significance of economic data releases and their impact on the financial markets
* A review of those concepts from fundamental valuation and financial statement analysis of greatest relevance on the trading floor (as opposed to abstract valuation models)
* Practical details of the structure and functioning of the equity and derivative markets including translations of trader jargon, Bloomberg tips, market conventions, liquidity and risk considerations and much more…

This book provides the first comprehensive explanation of all aspects of the functioning of the equities division, with information, details and insights previously only available to those who already worked on a trading floor. The availability of this material in a format accessible to non-professionals fundamentally changes the level of industry knowledge employers in the financial services industry can expect of new hires.

* CRM在企業中扮演的各種角色,現在的重要性為何遠勝過去;
* CRM應用及使用的範圍,從銷售人力自動化,到行銷活動管理乃至於CRM電子化等;
* 為你解說許多重要或受歡迎的CRM用語;
* CRM與商業智慧間的差異,並說明它們間的共生關係;
* 為何顧客關係失敗率如此高,如何避免成為另一個冷冰冰的CRM統計數字;
* 提供成功佈建及落實CRM企業的案例研討。
